Founded in 1995 by Caz McCaslin, Upward Spo
rts is the world’s largest Christian-based kids sports league. The first-class sports program—which includes basketball, flag football, soccer and cheerleading—provides a fun sports experience based on healthy competition for kids, teaching skills for the sports arena and values for life. Today, nearly 550,000 children in 48 U.S. states and Canada participate in Upward Sports Leagues and Camps hosted by 2,400 churches.

The Harrison Upward program began in 2002 with the advent of UpwardTM basketball and included over 200 children and was housed solely at Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Harrison, AR. Partnering with First Baptist Church of Harrison and later Faith Assembly and First Presbyterian, Harrison Upward has seen its leagues grow to a high of over 650 children in the basketball and cheerleading leagues. On any given Saturday, the various game sites will see anywhere from 1,500 to 2,000 people pass through its doors.

In addition to the host churches, Harrison Upward coaches, referees, and other volunteers represent more than 50 area churches. What an awesome display of Christian cooperation!

Most importantly, Harrison Upward has seen hundreds of children make life-changing decisions for Christ. With solid, Christian volunteers, weekly devotions during practices, and testimonies during every game's halftime, God has truly blessed the ministry of His people in the Harrison area.
